csq_cq1_front.jpg (10584 bytes)"CQ1" is the Clinton String Quartet's first and only recording currently available.  In collaboration with soprano Christine Klemperer the Clinton String Quartet presents this collection of varied works for your enjoyment. 

Included on this recording are two of the best known works from the Baroque era: Pachelbel's "Canon" and Bach's "Air".  Representing the Romantic era is the complete "American" quartet by Dvorak, the famous "Nocturne" by Borodin, and Edvard Grieg's "Wedding Day at Troldhaugen".

Christine Klemperer brings her considerable talents to performances of Mozart's "Alleluia", Puccini's "O mio babbino caro" and Gilbert & Sullivan's "Mabel's Song".

Preview "CQ, LIVE"!

Over the years the Clinton String Quartet has performed many concerts that have been recorded.  Several selected samples for a new CD entitled "CQ LIVE" can be found on our mp3 server.  The works currently featured are:  Ravel's String Quartet (1903), Turina's "La Oracion del Torero" (1925), Daniel Godfrey's "Intermedio" 1986), and Sam Pellman's "Sagittarius in Transit (1987).   In the near future samples from Shostakovich's 8th String Quartet (1960), and Beethoven's Op. 59, No. 3 String Quartet (1806) will be added.

Members of the Clinton String Quartet are featured in several composition on this release by the Syracuse Society of New Music.  This FIVE CD set is a wonderful survey of modern American music.  Works by:
